A recommended time can cost less
A discount can encourage the customer to choose a time that reduces driving.
- Show estimated relative emissions for every time
- Apply a transparent discount to selected slots
- Keep the standard-price time available
WayLess helps customers choose appointment times that fit your team's existing routes. Your business cuts mileage, vehicle costs, emissions and paid driving time.
Who pays for the service?
Illustrative figures. This demo uses the first available appointment as the reference. In real use, the reference is the most likely equivalent service without WayLess, based on the organisation's baseline data and booking behaviour.
WayLess compares available times with the day's other visits and shows the times that best fit the existing route first. All suitable times remain available.
A discount can encourage the customer to choose a time that reduces driving.
The customer sees a recommendation and the estimated emissions for each time.
As more customers choose times that fit the route, emissions fall too. Customers see your environmental efforts while booking.
WayLess reads availability and route context, scores the feasible times and returns an ordered list with impact data and an optional price adjustment.
Address, duration, skills, availability, existing visits, travel mode and service rules determine which times are feasible.
Each slot receives an incremental-distance and emissions score. Price is calculated only for customer-paid services.
The current system confirms the booking. Booking changes and completed journeys are recorded so the impact can be verified.
Route data, emissions estimates and, when needed, pricing are added to your current booking flow. You do not have to replace the whole system.
Your current system sends available times to WayLess, which ranks them by driving distance and emissions.
Add the WayLess time selector to your current booking page. Payment and confirmation remain in your current system.
WayLess reads available times from the calendar and adds the confirmed visit.
WayLess shows recommended times before a staff member agrees an appointment with the customer.
Representative integration capabilities exist in Microsoft Bookings Graph API, Calendly APIs and webhooks, Jobber GraphQL and webhooks and Google Calendar free/busy and event scopes. Exact write access and UI control must be checked per customer's plan.
WayLess handles route and emissions calculations and continues to develop the service. Your IT team retains control of booking, customer data and security.
The engineer who developed WayLess, Erkka Kulmala, uses it to minimise emissions and unnecessary driving in his own service and to compete more effectively in a highly competitive market.
Trying to optimise after the customer has already chosen an exact time is too late.
Address → service → professional or time → payment
Rank and price the time list before checkout.
Contract → preferred weekday/window → assigned worker → rescheduling
Optimise the first recurring pattern and every reschedule.
Eligibility or case → address → offered times → confirmation
Show emissions ranking only; keep every feasible time available.
Customer calls → staff checks calendars → staff promises a time
Give staff route-aware suggestions before the promise.
Triage → earliest qualified resource → dispatch
Use route impact only as a tie-breaker, never as an access barrier.
In this example, five mobile employees drive 7,920 fewer kilometres and spend 198 fewer hours driving each year.
7,920 fewer kilometres driven
The estimate uses an emissions factor of 0.15–0.25 kg CO₂e/km. CO₂e expresses the combined effect of greenhouse gases as an equivalent amount of carbon dioxide. The actual calculation uses the vehicles in service.
€3,600 lower vehicle costs
Assumptions: 5 employees, 4 visits per day, 220 working days, 18 kilometres per visit, a 10% reduction in driving and vehicle costs of €0.45/km. Actual savings are measured during the pilot.
WayLess assesses and documents avoided emissions in real use using the method set out in WBCSD's Guidance on Avoided Emissions v2.0. The service delivered is compared with the most likely equivalent service without WayLess.
A business, municipality or other service organiser receives a report for the monitoring period showing the reference scenario, material life-cycle emissions, data sources, assumptions and uncertainty. Avoided emissions are kept separate from the organisation's own GHG inventory, and the evidence can be independently reviewed.
WBCSD does not certify WayLess. Figures on this page are illustrative; any independent verification will be stated separately. Read the WBCSD guidance.
Tell us how customers book appointments today and how many on-site visits your team makes. We will estimate potential savings and recommend a practical way to test WayLess.
